ASIAN RED-LIGHT DISTRICTS: Singapore's Geylang Road

You should give it to the Singaporeans. They are masters in compartmentalization. After the sleek modern panorama of Victoria Road, you're suddenly transported to the grassy spaces of Kallang Road. Then just beyond a bridge with a river panorama just like in any Southeast Asian countryside, you are transported to the idyllic Singaporean scene of antique rowhouses. Then suddenly comes the punchline: this isn't a nostalgia trip, more like extreme sport central of the flesh.

Even at daytime, girls can be seen hanging around hotels in certain side streets.

Hmm, I have a strange suspicion where these girls came from...

Girls love to wait in the side streets of Geylang Road. This spot is far from a bus stop but girls seem to be waiting forever. One in the left even placed her umbrella down. She was prepared for a long wait.
